Welcome to Engine Room Productions:

I would like to thank my folks for insisting on a musical education.  Music is very special.  As a child, it is difficult to determine what is cool and what is not.  Some, only listen to music.  Some produce it.  Some live it.  Music is everywhere.  My father and my sister both played in military bands.  I was schooled in the grade school and high school bands but I felt that there are just too many starving musician out there to expect to make a living with music.  The other problem is that I am a cat.  Please go to Pee Wee's Corner to find out the difference between cats and dogs. It does not have to be MY way, unless I have been down the path and have found a problem with it.  If you do not learn from your mistakes, you will be forced to repeat them! 

I played my father's trombone in grade school.  I picked up the guitar a little later.  My brother started a band while I was in college.  His group needed a bass guitar.  I went out and made a purchase and learned to play.  Years went by.  From time to time I would pick up the guitar or the bass and get up my chops.  The real problem is having someone on your page!  Then, I met Scott.

My brother decided to look for a group.  He found one and asked me to audition.  I went, but did not bring my axe.  This was a horn band.  My brother plays trumpet.  Also, auditioning was this guitar dude!  We got into a conversation and found some common ground.  The clock has spun about a year and one half.  The band that brother is in has had a gig.  Scott and I have had two. 

Our musical philosophy is to create music.  Scott and I have similar backgrounds, but our musical influences are somewhat different.  Scott has played in groups more than I.  He really has a better idea of what we might expect to find.  I prefer to imagine that people will enjoy listening to music played well.  Scott and I intend to create the music that interests us.  What remains is the future.
